Welcome to Erin Robertson

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Dr. Erin Robertson to our department. Erin completed her Ph.D. and M.A. in psychology (cognition and perception) at The University of Western Ontario and her major research interests include language and reading development and impairments in children, language acquisition in infants, and episodic memory in children and adults.


Welcome to Heather Schmidt

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Heather Schmidt to our department. Dr. Schmidt completed her PhD in Social/Personality Psychology at York University in Toronto and her main research interests include social justice, culture, and community psychology.


Fighting Hunger the Rights Way

About a year ago, the Cape Breton University Children’s Rights Centre was asked by World Food Programme (WFP) to design a rights based curriculum resource.  The advantage of a rights based approach to teaching of world hunger is that students learn about their rights as children while engaging in their education.
