Peace Quest Addresses Cape Breton Regional Municipality on Mayors for Peace Campaign
On July 4, 2005, Peace Quest Cape Breton made a presentation to the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) on the Mayors for Peace campaign. Last August, we invited CBRM Mayor John Morgan to join the initiative, based in Hiroshima, designed to promote the cause of a nuclear-weapon-free world. In June, Mayor Morgan invited us to make our case to the Corporate Services Committee, the body responsible for considering municipal involvement with outside organizations. More...
